FACTS ABOUT BIODIESEL

·          Rotten Robbie sells B20 Biodiesel: 20% Biodiesel/  80% petroleum diesel fuel.

·          Made from vegetable oil from soybeans, corn, or other vegetable products.

·          B20 can be used in nearly all diesel equipment without engine modifications and maintenance costs are comparable to using traditional diesel, however, check with your equipment manufacturer before using it.

·          Horsepower, torque, acceleration, cruising speed, and fuel economy are similar to using traditional diesel fuel.

BENEFITS OF BIODIESEL

·          Good for Your Engine– more lubrication for your fuel injection pump and engine.

·          Non-Toxic- EPA test results show it is non-toxic and biodegradable.

·          Non Flammable– ignites at 350˚

·          Renewable– made from 85% vegetable oil.

·          Cleaner Emissions- reduced greenhouse gases, particulates, and carcinogens.

·          Sustainable– takes less energy to produce biodiesel as compared to producing petroleum fuels.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

·          Paint - overtime, biodiesel may dissolve paint. To prevent this, wipe off spilled fuel immediately.

·          Rubber Hoses and Seals -Most pre 1994 vehicles and some later model cars (all Mercedes) may have biodiesel incompatible fuel lines, especially with higher than B20 mixes. Check with your vehicle manufacturer for guidance. Check engine hoses and seals often.

·          Fuel Filter Clogging – Biodiesel is a great solvent and may clean out old built up sludge in your fuel tank and system, clogging your fuel filter. Watch for power loss and change your filter when necessary.
